Youth

The purpose of this page is to offer some information and support to you, young persons who are looking to understand yourself and to be happy and healthy as you grow through the teen years.

Catholic Youth Ministry has three goals:

1. To assist you and empower you to be a disciple of Jesus. There is a lot involved in this but it is all natural and helpful and involves a lot of youth and adults.
2. To invite you to more fully belong to your Parish Community. As a Catholic, you are the Church, the Parish, The Body of Christ, a member of the People of God.
3. To support your development as a young person into being a mature adult.

These goals are met with the help of the parish Youth Ministry Leadership Teams who have developed a parish vision for youth and by youth.

The parish youth events reflect opportunities to:

1. Build community and connect with each other
2. Promote youth and be an advocate for them
3. Learn more about their Catholic faith
4. Share their skills and gifts with others through outreach
5. Receive support in their personal lives
6. Take time to reflect on life and pray by themselves and with others
7. Learn leadership skills and take on responsibilities
